Ada loves to fly -- she's mellow and happy and relaxed. Although I would be mellow and relaxed if I always had a fully reclining seat -- first class all the way, baby!
A daily update of the adventures of Ada.

Cutey McCute. How many different words do we have for cuteness? Precious, presh, adorable, adorabubble, delicious, scrumptious, delectable, anable, Ada...
And DIVES for it -- drooling all over the keyboard, hitting crazy random buttons, etc. This is the resulting photo:
It's funny but also slightly dangerous for my laptop. I can imagine going into to techserv:

She could see herself moving on the screen and just loved it and started reaching for it. This is her thinking to herself, "Hey, I'm pretty cute!"

It was my first time around a baby who was smaller than Ada. Although I'm thrilled that she's growing, I got kinda' nostalgic for the days when I could hold her in one hand.

She's really doing so well these days. She wakes up smiling and stays pretty cheerful most of the day. She does get fussy but it's almost always something pretty obvious -- "feed me!" or "I'm tired!" She's got simple needs. Lucky us. I can't wait for her to start talking but I also know that that means that she'll be upset about much more complicated things -- things that I will be much less able to solve. "The girl in my class is mean to me" or "I hate algebra" -- a whole world of angst to look forward to. It's actually a really good thing that they start out being so straightforward... it's sort of like jazz -- you only improvise once you've got the basic tune down perfectly. Her simple needs give you time to learn the basic tune before you have to get all fancy.
