We're getting to the point where we have to start saying "No" and taking things away from Ada. I did a little photo essay of what happens when you take something away from her that she doesn't want to surrender. In this case, it's just a little book and I'm just being mean by taking it away. Recently though, she's demanded things like the power cord for my laptop, a flat head screwdriver, an open pen -- any thing sharp or electrified. The same process ensues, albeit with a different and less harmonious ending.
We start with her favorite book, "Hello Bee Hello Me" -- a fine work of literature.
When I take it away she reacts with horror.....tries to reach for it...
and when that doesn't work, goes for the full HULK, as in, "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry!"
When she gets it back she sort of chortles at the back of her throat, not unlike Gollum saying, "My Precioussssss"....
Oh heavens, we have such fun ahead.
