Singing in the Rain

I realize that my posting output has been quite lacking recently but I thought I couldn't get away with not posting this recent photo -- placid now, because she's been given the umbrella to hold, or as she says, "Mommy, I wanna put on my blue umbrella, please mommy."

Puerto Rico

Fun had by all at the beach, and communing with the fountains with Iris... I had a terrible time getting pictures of Ada at the beach -- she literally never slowed down! As you can see, she was well covered. Man, that sun was brutal! SPF 70 wasn't enough to prevent burns after an hour or so. It was so wonderful to get to spend some concentrated time with Ada. I've been working way too much! I miss her!

More! More!

A few moments of repose ... It's been a while since I've updated you all on anything. Ada is conversing in pretty full sentences these days, jabbering to everyone about everything. She's also the most active toddler I've met so far. She really just doesn't want to sit down. Always on the run! These are a few rare moments when she stopped and posed for the camera...

Delinquency

Nothing really to say about my multi-month absence! Here are some sweet moments from the end of winter. Ada in the snow, and Ada dressed as Rainbow Brite... does a blog post get any better? No? I didn't think so!

Office Space

As you can see, Ada's new job requires a little adjustment. Her new cube-mate takes up a lot of space but at least he doesn't hum under his breath or chatter incessantly. And he is a bit more cuddly than the typical colleague.

You'll note that her wardrobe is still a bit in flux -- Thor thought this little leopard print outfit was sort of rock n' roll. Unfortunately, it might be more Boca Raton cougar (Mrowr!) than Def Leppard!

Business Casual?

Now that Ada's heading out to work, she really needs to establish a more professional style. Also, she's a little short so she thought some high heels would help her project an air of gravitas. What do you think?

Hard at Work

What with the global financial meltdown and all, we thought it would be a good idea to get Ada some job training. As you can see, she's perfected the "look really busy" skill, as well as the exasperated, "what now!?" expression. She's on her way to the top!
