More than ready to hit the slopes

After three character-building cold grey days of ski school at Stowe in December, we weren't quite sure why Ada still wanted to ski so much. But two beautiful spring weekends let her more than get her point across: she wanted to show us she could do it much better all by herself.

Here she is at Whiteface on what was probably the last really great day of the season. She made some excellent turns, particularly when she was afraid she'd overshoot the lift line at the bottom and have to climb back up the hill again!
